Cedric Benson Encouraged By Bratkowski's Firing
(2/1 9:25 PT)

The Facts:
Benson said he was encouraged by the Bengals move to fire offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski on Monday. “It’s good to see them make some moves and it will help,” Benson said. “It will be a benefit in a positive way. It was a smart move that can benefit the team and everyone.” Reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
When asked if the Bengals could thrive in an offense without Carson Palmer, Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens but with him back at running back, Benson said that he feels like it can. “There would be a lot of adjustment but it is time for things to change and grow,” he said. “We have the tools to develop players. ...” Not surprisingly, Benson also agreed with head coach Marvin Lewis’ statements from two weeks ago that the offense did not have an identity last season. ... Stay tuned. As we previously noted, it's going to be a very interesting offseason in Cincinnati.
