The Facts:
Peterson recently drew scorn for missing a mandatory practice earlier this month. Instead of practice, the 2004 Heisman Trophy runner-up was in his hometown of Palestine, Texas, for Adrian Peterson Day "It's over with," said Peterson, who has rushed for almost 4,500 yards in three NFL seasons.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Is Peterson upset that Favre can miss weeks of camps while he gets in trouble for a trip home? "No, not at all," Peterson said. "It had nothing to do with Brett Favre. If anyone deserves any kind of leeway, it's definitely Brett Favre. He's been there 20 years, a Hall of Fame quarterback. I'm not on the same level as him. ..." Although HC Brad Childress clearly would have preferred Peterson been present for the session, AP is clearly saying all the right things. Sounds like this will be forgotten soon enough.
