HC Rex Ryan's vision of the 2010 Jets backfield will be music to Tomlinson's ears. "Hypothetically, we'd see [Tomlinson] carry the ball 15 times a game," Ryan said. "We're just going to ground and pound away. I'm sure some games he'll have more rushing attempts than Shonn Greene, and I think Shonn will have more than LT in other games."

That would certainly be an interesting -- even unexpected -- development. The initial believe among observers had LT clearly holding down more of a reserve role behind Greene. If Ryan isn't just blowing smoke it sounds like a more even split -- especially if Leon Washington's third-down work is factored in. ... Based on Tomlinson's level of production the last few seasons, that doesn't seem like a great idea.
