Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Per Schefter, the Redskins are making plans for Shanahan to sign his contract tonight and announce his hiring Wednesday afternoon. It's worth noting that Shanahan will work in concert with GM Bruce Allen, but the new coach (and executive VP of football operations) will have final say in all football matters. ... While this looks like a step in the right direction, we would suggest past hires have hit the ground with similar high hopes before ultimately disappointing rather fickle owner Dan Snyder. Worth noting: Shanahan is expected to bring his son, Texans OC Kyle Shanahan, with him to Washington in that same capacity.
