With Neil Rackers nursing a sore groin, the Cardinals signed kicker Mike Nugent today.

Nugent was with the Buccaneers earlier this season and spent most of his career with the Jets. He’s been around 80 percent in his career and his presence will give Rackers a chance to shut it down and rest his problem groin. The team's official web site suggests that Rackers might be held out this week and perhaps another if need be. That's not official yet, however. Those interested will want to follow up to verify that's the case later this week.
