ESPN is also reporting the move, citing the need for experienced depth at quarterback with Bruce Gradkowski's expected absence. Gradkowski reportedly has a torn ligament in one knee and a partially torn ligament in the other. Per Florio, the team was heavily influenced by Losman's play in the UFL and his development under Jim Fassel. ... They were probably also heavily influenced by JaMarcus Russell's failure to impress working in relief of Gradkowski last Sunday; Charlie Frye is the other healthy QB on the roster.
