Following up on previous items. ... An MRI on Moreno's injured left knee revealed a slight sprain of the medial collateral ligament, according to NFL sources. The initial diagnosis was Moreno would be sidelined for one to two weeks, meaning he could be cleared to play at least in time for the final preseason game Sept. 3 against Arizona.

Reports throughout the morning have been increasinly positive -- a good sign. Moreno made his Broncos' debut in the second series of Friday night's loss to the 49ers, going up the middle for 9 yards in his first carry. But Moreno appeared to get hurt while gaining 5 yards on his second carry. "I know that he said he was kind of dinged, but he said he was fine," said HC Josh McDaniels. "And then we checked him out and we kept going with him." Moreno picked up a first down on third-and-1 with a four-yard gain on his next, and final carry.
