The Facts:
Reports out of New York indicate that the Jets might be interested in acquiring Holt, who has requested -– but not yet been granted — his release from the Rams. Not coincidentally, former Rams receivers coach Henry Ellard recently was hired for the same position with the Jets, who are seeking to replace Laveranues Coles.

New York Daily News staffer Rich Cimini wrote Monday: “Based on what I’m hearing, I’d be surprised if (they Jets) don't pursue Holt. ..." The Rams would prefer to trade Holt and probably wouldn’t release him until or slightly before March 17, when he is due a $1.25 million roster bonus. Meanwhile, Nashville City Paper staffer Terry McCormick advised readers the Titans would likely make a run at Holt if he's released and wondered if Tennessee might be willing to give up a late-round pick to secure him before hand.
