Titans, K Rob Bironas Agree On Four-Year Contract
(2/18 3:47 PT)

The Facts:
Before they had to designate their kicker as their franchise player, the Tennessee Titans reached agreement with Bironas on a four-year, $12 million deal. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Had the deal not been agreed to, Tennessee could have — and likely would have — slapped Bironas with the $2.48 million franchise tag. But the two sides continued days of negotiations that culminated Wednesday in a deal that makes Bironas one of the game’s highest-paid kickers. ... Bironas' deal preserves the team's ability to use it's Franchise tag if they feel it's necessary (perhaps to secure the services of TE Bo Scaife) before tomorrow's deadeline.
