The lead role in the backfield is finally Jones-Drew's. (As previously noted,) Fred Taylor was released on Feb. 16 in a move that didn't come as a great shock.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Jones-Drew is entering the final year of his original four-year contract that he signed as rookie in 2006 -- an issue the Jaguars insist will be addressed soon. Although he's started just four games in his NFL career, Jones-Drew should prove to be one of the Jaguars most potent offensive weapons next year. He finished with better numbers than Taylor last year, with 197 rushing attempts, 824 yards, 4.2 average per play and 12 TDs. Taylor, who missed the team's last three games, had 143 carries, 556 yards, a 3.9 average and just one score.
