New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will be hired as the new head coach of the St. Louis Rams, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Saturday.

NFL Network insider Adam Schefter is reporting it's a done deal with the Rams giving Spagnuolo a four-year, $11.5 million contract (the Rams subsequently confirmed the hiring). ... Spagnuolo, 49, has been the Giants defensive coordinator for the past two seasons. Prior to that, he was a defensive assistant in Philadelphia from 1999-2006.
