The Facts:
The Dallas Cowboys have fired defensive coordinator Brian Stewart after two seasons. The Cowboys gave up 22.8 points per game, which was 20th in the league.
Stewart coached the Chargers’ secondary for three seasons before following HC Wade Phillips to the Cowboys. Though Stewart had the title of defensive coordinator with the Cowboys, his actual responsibilities were unclear.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Phillips, a former coordinator, sometimes took over play-calling duties and other times left it unclear who was making the defensive decisions. This is the second change of a coordinator (special teams coach Bruce Read was fired last week) since owner Jerry Jones said his 2009 staff. And we could see further change in Big D; OC Jason Garrett is considered a leading candidate for the Rams' HC opening.
