HC Norv Turner said that Tomlinson did no further damage to his strained groin Saturday night but his status for Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh will be determined later in the week. “The injury that he has is not any worse,” Turner. “I think they said he was pretty sore around that area from probably compensating for the injury.” Also: TE Antonio Gates had no new soreness in his ankle.  Reported by Chargers.com

Meanwhile, Turner joked Sunday that Darren Sproles, who touched the ball 35 times against the Colts Saturday, “was packed in ice back in the training room” Sunday. “We’ll let him out on Friday,” Turner said with a laugh. ... Look for Sproles -- and most likely Michael Bennett -- to be plenty busy in Pittsburgh.
