Tomlinson, 29, left Saturday's win over Indianapolis because of the injury, which he had sustained before the game but tried to play through. He started against the Colts and gained 25 yards on five carries, including a 3-yard scoring run in the second quarter. That turned out to be his last carry of the game. Tomlinson said the injury bothered him from the start and he knew he couldn't continue to be effective.
