The Facts:
Burress started today’s game, but he only managed to play one series before he had to leave the game. The Giants have announced his return as “doubtful.” Dominek Hixon will likely take Burress’ place with the first team for the remainder of the game.

Burress apparently suffered the injury on the Giants’ third play. On their opening play he caught a six-yard pass. Then, on 3rd and 12 from the Giants’ 27, they sent Burress on a deep pattern and Manning tried to connect with him more than 50 yards down field. The pass was broken up by Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but the worse news was that Burress aggravated the injury he had suffered in practice on Wednesday afternoon.
