The Facts:
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday morning that Hasselbeck had a bulging disk in his back, the reason he missed the final three exhibition games. Mortensen said Hasselbeck took an injection to relieve the pain. After the game Sunday, Hasselbeck both confirmed and denied Mortensen's report. "That is not really what was hurting my back," he said. "From what I was told, 85 percent of the world would look the same if they MRI'd (their back). That is not really why my back was hurt."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Hasselbeck said he did take an injection for his back -- but it was for the spasms that kept him sidelined in the exhibition season, not for a bulging disk. And Hasselbeck said he does have a bulging disk. But so, too, do most people. ... Most people, of course, don't play professional football. Anyhow, Hasselbeck and the Seattle offense have plenty of issues; Hasselbeck's back appear to be among the least of them at this point.
