The Facts:
Romo needed 13 stitches to close the gash on his chin. Cleveland LB Willie McGinest caught Romo in his chin, and a couple other Browns also got to Romo on the play. He injured his left middle finger on the play, too, though X-rays after the game were negative.

As Morning News staffer Tim MacMahon noted, Romo responded by standing in the pocket and throwing a strike to Jason Witten the next play. It was a key third-down conversion on the touchdown drive that was basically the knockout blow. It was also a testament to Romo's toughness.
