Smith sat out Monday’s practice for the Panthers with a concussion suffered in Saturday’s 23-20 exhibition victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Reported by The Sports Ticker

Smith sustained the concussion when he took a helmet-to-helmet hit following a 19-yard reception from Matt Moore, his only catch of the game. HC Jon Fox said that Smith is listed as day-to-day. Remember: Smith will serve a team-imposed two-game suspension at the start of the regular season for his August 1 fight with teammate Ken Lucas, who suffered a broken nose in the altercation that required surgery.
