The Facts:
McCown, the Dolphins’ most-experienced quarterback heading into training camp, injured the index finger in his throwing hand two weeks ago chopping wood. A Texas TV station reports that McCown needed six stitches to the finger a couple of weeks ago when he was injured while he and his brother, Luke, were cutting firewood.

As Post staffer Edgar Thompson notes, McCown has 10 more days to recover before training camp, but the injury could add another element of intrigue to the Dolphins’ much-anticipated quarterback competition.
