The Steelers reached agreement today on a three-year contracts with Dixon. A fifth-round pick out of Oregon, Dixon's deal includes a $130,000 signing bonus.

Dixon, the Pac-10 Conference's offensive player of the year, missed his final three college games with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The Steelers have said they expect Dixon to be recovered from his injury in time for training camp. Some observers believe Dixon could be incorporated into some packages as a utility-type player as early as this year.
