Owens is not here for mandatory mini- camp and will not make an appearance at Valley Ranch the rest of the week, per a team spokesman.

According to Morning News staffer Tim McMahaon, Owens is dealing with a personal matter not related to last week's drug-testing issue. He took his physical yesterday and was excused for the rest of the week. Terry Glenn, who is dealing with a contract issue, is the only other players of significance not on hand. ... We'll watch for more on Owens, but advise against reading too much into his absence at this point.
