Following up on an ongoing story. ... There could be significant developments soon … as early as today or Tuesday … in the case of Lynch, whose Porsche SUV was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Lynch's attorney, Michael P. Caffery, told The Buffalo News this morning that he hopes to have the case resolved soon, but he declined to comment further. "We'd like to obtain a resolution soon," Caffery said. "I can't say any more than that."

Well. ... Since it's safe to assume Caffrey has been the one telling Lynch not to talk with investigators it's equally safe to assume he has considerable say in when the case is resolved. For what it's worth, the attorney declined to toll the News say whether Lynch now plans to tell investigators his version of what happened early on the morning of May 31, when his vehicle struck and injured a woman. D.A. Frank J. Clark still hopes to file some kind of criminal charges in the case this week. ... Stay tuned.
