The Facts:
Ryan, the No. 3 overall draft pick, reached a multi-year contract agreement with the Falcons Tuesday, according to several people with knowledge of the situation.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to ESPN, the deal is a record-setting 6-year contract worth a total of $72 million. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that $34.75 million of the total is guaranteed. Mortensen cited owner Arthur Blank's desire to move past the Michael Vick era as one reason the deal came together so quickly. The Falcons typically haven't signed their top pick until just before the start of training camp in the late summer -- if that soon. ... HC Mike Smith hasn't ruled out Ryan starting from Day 1 (depending on his performance in training camp and exhibition play). The early signing (not to mention the investment involved) have to help Ryan's chances nailing down that starting assignment from the jump.
