The Facts:
Davis on Tuesday apologized to owner Dan Snyder, HC Jim Zorn and his Redskins teammates for the "minor mistake" of missing a mini-camp practice May 4. The second-round draft pick from Southern California said he overslept after switching hotel rooms the night before. "It was something that was irresponsible of me, and I just now want to move on," Davis said.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Davis caused quite a stir when he was a no-show for the Sunday morning practice that concluded a three-day mini-camp. The team dispatched security personnel to track him down, and, once he was located, he was brought to for an extended meeting with Zorn in the coach's office. "This is not the attention you want; this is negative attention," Davis said. ... It's safe to say a man hoping for playing time behind Pro Bowler Chris Cooley can't afford too many screwups.
