The Facts:
Despite numerous reports the past few months that the Saints were interested in trading for Shockey, the deal didn't happen. And chances are, it won't. New Orleans has no picks in the third or fourth round today, and the Giants probably aren't interested in Saints safety Roman Harper after they drafted two safeties Saturday.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Times-Picayune staffer Mike Triplett, Saints officials didn't offer much insight as to how close they came to making a deal for Shockey, saying they didn't want to talk about any players on other teams. Asked about the rumored deal on Saturday, Giants GM Jerry Reese replied: "There's nothing to talk about. Jeremy Shockey is our starting tight end." It seems unlikely that will change today, but we'll be watching.
