While his character has been called into question due to several off-field incidents, McFadden's explosive, big-play potential were sufficient for Oakland to add another weapon to an already crowded backfield. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, the 6-2, 210-poud McFadden is regarded as one of the finest players in college football in recent years. Playing in a run-oriented offense at Arkansas, McFadden surpassed 1,000 yards in each of his three college seasons with 18 career 100-yard games. Has exceptional speed and is a versatile athlete who occasionally lined up as a quarterback and wide receiver. On field weakness? He's had problems securing the ball at times. Still, that's the lone negative on the field.
