FOXSports insider Jay Glazer is reporting the deal is worth $9 million. ... The news comes as no real surprise in the wake of Green's visit with his hometown team last Thursday. Green signed with the Rams as a free agent prior to the 1999 season, was with the club for two years, then was traded to Kansas City in 2001. He finished last season on the injured reserve list in Miami after suffering his second concussion in as many seasons. But Rams HC Scott Linehan told reporters last week that Green checked out fine after being examined by team doctors Thursday. "We have no concerns on our end at all," Linehan said. ... Green will replace recently-released Gus Frerotte as Marc Bulger's backup.
