The Facts:
Keenan Lewis has spent only two days on a Saints practice field with first-round draft pick Cooks and already has a nickname for the speedy receiver. "I called him 'lightning,'" Lewis said Friday. "A (defensive back) might be in his back pocket and the next thing you know he's 50, 60 yards down the field."

Cooks attended the three-day rookie minicamp after the 2014 NFL draft but missed six days of OTAs and the three-day minicamp last week as he finished school at Oregon State, leaving Lewis and other veteran players to await his arrival. Clearly he made an impression. ... The Saints next practice will be next month at training camp. Cooks said Thursday he plans to visit Drew Brees in San Diego between now and then to learn more about the Saints offense.
