The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be very serious about keeping Bortles off the field until 2015. In a Tuesday appearance on NFL Network, HC Gus Bradley once again reiterated the team's desire to sit Bortles, the No. 3 overall pick, behind Chad Henne for the duration of Bortles' rookie season. "We really felt comfortable with (Henne) coming back with another year in the system," Bradley said. "And we do feel good about where Blake's at, but we feel like this time that he has under Chad, a year to develop, will be really good in the end result."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com suggests, though his arrival was the product of a different regime in Jacksonville, Blaine Gabbert looms over everything here. Gabbert was a disaster after being rushed into action as a rookie in 2011. Given that franchise history, that the Jaguars believe a year of preparation will do a world of good for Bortles is understandable.
