The Facts:
Manning has officially started running. That's what the Giants quarterback said in a promotional video shared out by Steiner Sports, a memorabilia company, on Friday. "I'm off all crutches," he said in the short video. "Off the boot. Doing some running. It's coming around fast."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Manning had an
ankle scoped last month and the Giants have already
ruled Manning out for the spring, as GM Jerry Reese revealed on Thursday, but as Daily News staffer Ebenezer Samuel suggests, it's a good sign that he's already started running. While the extent of that running remains unknown, it means he's slightly ahead of schedule in his return. Still, as Reese said Thursday, Manning won't hit the field until the summer. Despite that, and the fact that he'll be
learning a new offense under coordinator Ben McAdoo, Reese said he expects Manning to have a "terrific" 2014 season. Fantasy football owners probably shouldn't bank on Reese being right on this one.
