Browns, Jordan Cameron Talking Long-Term Deal... Without Much Success
(4/29 12:46 PT)

The Facts:
Cameron was one of the breakout players of 2013, transforming from some dude that some fantasy football players heard of to a Pro Bowler with 80 catches and a trip to Hawaii. ESPNCleveland's Tony Grossi notes that the Browns and Cameron have had long-term extension talks "without success." He will be a candidate for a franchise tag next year barring a deal. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal believes it might even be wise to wait. They might want to see how Cameron looks in new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's offense. Shanahan features the tight end, but Cameron's career took off when Norv Turner arrived in town last year. Rosenthal went on to suggest that if Cameron gets off to a strong start in his new system, a long-term deal is likely to come before next March. For fantasy football owners, the hope would obviously be that Shanahan's history of featuring the tight end (Owen Daniels and more recently Jordan Reed) plays into Cameron's strengths.
