Ravens Re-Sign WR LaQuan Williams
(4/24 4:31 PT)

The Facts:
Williams, a wide receiver out of Maryland who made the 2011 Ravens as an undrafted free agent and played parts of two seasons with the organization, is re-signing with the team. The 25-year-old will agree to a one-year deal. Reported by the Baltimore Sun

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Williams has been out of the NFL since last November and hasn’t played in a regular-season game since the 2012 season. He was released by the Ravens through an injury settlement last September after dealing with numerous injuries. Williams played a total of 23 games with the Ravens during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, primarily seeing action on special teams. He had five special teams tackles during the 2012 campaign before he was placed on injured reserve with a thigh injury. He caught four passes for 46 yards during his rookie season in 2011. The Ravens are deep at wide receiver with Torrey Smith, Steve Smith, Jacoby Jones, Marlon Brown, Deonte Thompson, Aaron Mellette, Gerrard Sheppard and Kamar Aiken all on the roster. It’s also likely that the Ravens will draft at least one wide receiver next month. That likely means Williams’ best chance to make the roster will be as a special teams contributor.
