Titans Assume Kenny Britt Will Be Ready For Week 1
(4/28 12:14 PT)

The Facts:
The drafting of Kendall Wright could be even more valuable in the event Britt has a lengthy recovery from last year's torn ACL - or if Britt suffers yet another injury. HC Mike Munchak had this to say about Britt's recovery last night: Britt has resumed running, but is not yet allowed to do any cutting. The Titans will likely ease Britt through training camp, as they did last year when he was dealing with hamstring issues. The Titans are assuming Britt will be ready for the regular season. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Tennessean staffer Jim Wyatt notes, the slow-and-steady approach worked last year with Britt, as he didn't catch a single pass in the preseason (he only played in one game), but got out of the gate quickly during the regular season with 14 catches for 271 yards and three touchdowns in two games. Recovery from an ACL injury, however, isn't as easy to forecast. If Britt does return to full speed for the start of the 2012 year, then Wyatt can foresee a three-receiver set featuring Britt and Nate Washington on the outside, with Wright in the slot. If Britt's not up-to-par to start the year, then maybe it's Damian Williams and Washington on the outside, with Wright in the slot during three-receiver sets. But if Wright is all the Titans expect him to be, Tennessee should still have a big-play receiver to scare other teams - whether Britt is in the lineup or not.
