Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson converted his base salary ($6.5 million) to a bonus and spread it out over a number of years. Last week's signing of Arian Foster and the possibility of retaining free agent Mario Williams certainly give the Texans ample need for cap relief. It's not a huge surprise to find Johnson was willing to help -- especially because the money will now be paid up front in cash. The official salary cap numbers for the 2012 season will be released by Friday, and the final number will be very similar to last season's cap of around $120 million.
