The Facts:
Following up on the
previous item. ... Many Lambeau moons ago, Moss and Cris Carter teamed to form one of the most dynamic wide receiving combinations in NFL history. You'd think this would form some kind of brotherhood. But after the events of Tuesday, apparently not. It started in the morning, when Carter offered his (quite valid) concerns of Moss, who announced his intention to return to the NFL on Monday after a one-year layoff. "The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing," Carter said on "Mike & Mike in the Morning" (via ESPN.com). "It's not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it's the elephant in the room. It's that thing called quit."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Carter went on to explain: "Randy, not like any other superstar I've met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to address that. That's what (Patriots coach Bill) Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn't going to have it. ..." It should be noted that Moss, who announced his intention to return to the NFL immediately, fired back on Monday night via Twitter, writing: "@CrisCarter80 its sad how u stroked ur own ego when u were suppose to b my mentor!then u wonder why karma bites u in the ass!#goodlukwithhof..." Despite Moss' stinging rebuttal, Carter has a point. Moss will need to prove to any team interested in investing in him that he's not only in physical condition to play (
which he claims he is) but that he's also in it for the long haul, for better or worse. That might be a trickier objective. But he certainly is talking a mean game. Responding to a question during a U-Stream appearance Monday night, Moss said: "Am I better deep threat than Calvin Johnson? I don't know. That's going to be interesting to see this year. ..." Stay tuned.
