The Facts:
After the final game of the season, Bennett was seen shaking some hands with certain players and has even made sure his Valley Ranch locker is cleaned out. It doesn't sound like he plans on returning to the Cowboys in 2012 – then again, stranger things have happened. But it would be quite a shock if Bennett returns to the team next year.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This according to the team's official web site, which went on to advise readers the unrestricted free agent is excited about exploring his options to see what teams might be interested in a 24-year-old tight end with four years of experience who has ideal size, is a known blocker and has played behind one of the NFL's best tight ends. For the Cowboys, it's probably time to move on from Bennett, considering Jason Witten is still around and playing at a high-level and John Phillips seemed to be even more versatile and just as productive. Don't be surprised if teams that need help at the position fork over a nice-sized contract for Bennett to be their No. 1 tight end. For the Cowboys, it wouldn't make sense to even match that.
