The Facts:
Cruz, who is scheduled to make $490,000 next season, hopes the contract situation is taken care of sooner rather than later. "I hope as soon as possible," he said. "I want to remain a Giant for a very long time. Hopefully we can do something this offseason to extend that."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Cruz, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2010 (and as such reportedly made $405,000 in 2011 as part of a three-year rookie contract), came out of nowhere to pile up a franchise-record 1,536 receiving yards last season. The Giants have a decision to make on several key free agents, including fellow WR Mario Manningham, so it's not clear if Cruz will get his wish.
