The Facts:
Flacco's rookie contract is set to expire following the 2012 season, and as he expressed last offseason, he has made it known he would like a new deal sooner rather than later. According to sources close to him, Flacco also knows that any real leverage in negotiations will only be gained during the playoffs, as he's coming of a 2011 regular season in which he failed to reach many of his 2010 marks.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Flacco, who will make $200,000 for every win during this postseason, has won four road playoff games in his first three seasons -- quite rare in league history -- but also has struggled in many of those games and has been aided greatly by the run game and defense. According to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora, if Flacco makes strides in this postseason, his likelihood of getting a new deal rises, and it could create more pressure on the organization to get a deal done. If he doesn't perform well, it's going to be much more likely that he has to play out the duration of his rookie deal.
