The Facts:
GM Martin Mayhew said he plans to work on a contract extension for Johnson. "I think we have an opportunity to work on that this offseason," Mayhew said about Johnson's extension. "I don't think it's something that absolutely has to be done, but we have an opportunity to work on it.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson had 96 catches for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season, which were career highs for him. He also had 12 catches for 211 yards and two touchdowns in Detroit's playoff loss against New Orleans earlier this week. Detroit's standout receiver is entering the final season of his contract. Johnson made $8.875 million in 2011 and is slated to make $14 million next season. However, Johnson could receive a more lucrative contract than Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald (eight years for $120 million). "I'm not going to suggest a pay cut for him," Mayhew said.
