The Facts:
The San Diego Chargers say OC Clarence Shelmon has decided not to return next season. In a statement released by the team on Tuesday, Shelmon says, “I’m just done. You know when it’s time. It’s time for me to go and do some other things with my life.”

Shelmon spent 10 seasons with San Diego and 21 in the NFL. He was offensive coordinator from 2007-2011, although HC Norv Turner called plays. Shelmon coached football for a combined 37 years. The Chargers fired DC Greg Manusky on Thursday and replaced him with linebackers coach John Pagano.
