In their search for a new GM, the Bears have received permission and will interview four candidates: Chiefs director of college scouting Phil Emery, Patriots director of pro personnel Jason Licht, Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye and Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross.

Since relieving Jerry Angelo of his duties Jan. 3, the Bears have been extensively researching viable replacements throughout the NFL, speaking to associates in ownership, management and coaching. Interviews will follow. While Emery, Licht, Raye and Ross are scheduled for interviews, Bears director of player personnel Tim Ruskell also remains an in-house candidate to replace Angelo. The team has not ruled out additional candidates.
