Roethlisberger was diagnosed with a grade 1 high ankle sprain, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Grade 1 would be the least severe sprain possible. ... Roethlisberger suffered the injury last in the first half of Thursday night's win over the Browns, giving him 10 full days to rehab before taking on the 49ers Monday night. Based on what we know now, it would come as no surprise if Big Ben is on the field starting -- and playing -- as usual against the Niners. ...
