Manning, who's out indefinitely after undergoing neck surgery Sept. 8, is due to have another X-ray/checkup Wednesday.

It remains extremely unlikely that Manning will take the field in an NFL game this year, but the team hopes he can practice at some point in December. The reason for that goal is to ease the transition back on the field next year assuming he'll be healthy enough to take that on.
