Head coach Mike Shanahan said that Ryan Torain will only get on the field when Helu is tired.

“Helu, he’s got the speed to make some big plays,” Shanahan said. “We’re going to have Ryan [Torain] kind of substitute him when he gets tired. You can see he’s a pretty good all-around back. He made some plays." It seems the time has come to buy in to Helu as a starter. As for how long it will last, that is an entirely different question.
