NFL spokesman Greg Aiello reports via Twitter that Congressmen Darrell Issa and Elijah Cummings announced the NFL and NFLPA will begin HGH testing as soon as possible.

Testing could start as early next week. As Profootballtalk.com suggested, there should be great emphasis on the "could." Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that, after Friday’s meeting on Capitol Hill, NFLPA representatives said that they don’t expect testing to begin until players are satisfied that the blood test for HGH is “reliable and safe. ..." So testing is coming. It's just a matter of time -- with how much time still being in question.
