The Facts:
New OC Chris Palmer, who replaced Mike Heimerdinger, said he’d like his offense to be on the field a minimum of 65 plays on Sundays, with 35 rushes and 30 passes. He wants a time of possession around 32 minutes, and he wants his players to protect the football.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
That's likely to make at least one player -- and perhaps more -- very happy. ... "Obviously the running back is special," Palmer said of Chris Johnson "I was impressed with the tight ends. The [Jared] Cook guy, I want to get my hands around him right away and find out what he is all about because I think he is a special talent. ..." And Palmer seems intent on maximizing the talent on hand. "Give the players the best chance to do things," he said. "Giving C.J. the ball — you can say that’s conservative, but I think that can be explosive also. We are going to be what we have. We like to run the football, we like to play-action and we like to stretch the field. ..." While the team clearly needs a QB to run the show, Johnson certainly provides a valuable and dangerous hedge against possible weakness under center.
