The Steelers placed starting C Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.

Pouncey, who was hoping to be sufficiently recovered from a high ankle sprain in time for tomorrow's Super Bowl XLV, will obviously not make it. OL Dorian Brooks was activated from the team’s practice squad to fill the roster opening. Brooks will likely back up center Doug Legursky, pressed into a starting role in relief of Pouncey.
