The Facts:
Less than a week after the Jets season ended with a loss to the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game, GM Mike Tannenbaum touched on a variety of topics in a wrap-up conference call with reporters. Tannenbaum maintained that the Jets’ back-to-back AFC title game appearances “solidifies our program.”

Of most interest to Fantasy owners, Tannenbaum reiterated that OC Brian Schottenheimer will be back next season. Tannenbaum said "no decision has been reached" on whether Mark Sanchez will need shoulder surgery. Team doctor Ken Montgomery will seek several opinions before a final determination is made. Sanchez has relatively minor cartilage damage in his right shoulder. And finally, Tannenbaum expects LaDainian Tomlinson to play for the Jets next season. Tomlinson is scheduled to earn $2.4 million in the final year of his two-year deal. "As of right now, he’s under contract and yes, we expect him back," Tannenbaum said.
