According to Matt Maiocco of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, 49ers owner Jed York would not commit to Singletary coaching next week against the Cardinals. York also said the 49ers will begin interviewing general manager candidates soon. Whether Singletary is allowed to coach one more lame-duck game or not, the ultimate outcome seems assured: He will not return for 2011.
