Following up on a previous item. ... Ivory apparently injured his hamstring in a manner that might not be serious down the road, but one that the team didn't want to take a chance with. "Chris Ivory had a hamstring that wasn't getting any looser," HC Sean Payton said after the game. "He felt like it was troubling him early in that half, so we held him out."

Ivory jumped out to 47 yards rushing on seven carries against the St. Louis Rams in the first half. The Saints won the game 31-13. But spent most of the second half riding an exercise bike. The decision to rest him was made easier with Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas being back in the Saints lineup, both of whom were also coming off injury.
